Young People

As an experienced mentor and coach, I utilise my training in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Thought Field Therapy, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Restorative Practices, Auricular Acupuncture, Mindfulness, Safeguarding, Counselling techniques and a number of other tools to create lasting change. By combining my psychosensory therapy skills then young people I work with can receive fast and effective results that will help them to overcome any emotional barriers.

The self-regulation programmes I have created use Bio feedback technology and techniques to teach young people skills to self-regulate their emotions. This has been particularly useful in helping them with issues relating to anger, anxiety, sleep, and ADHD.

I am an experienced youth worker with over 20 years’ experience working with young people in a variety of settings including care homes, schools, youth centres and for the past 18 years in a secure centre.

This experience has given me an in depth understanding of the issues facing young people and a wealth of knowledge and techniques that have been proven to help them.

Having worked with children from all different backgrounds and often with challenging and complex behaviour , its important for me to build rapport quickly. I’m especially skilled in this area and can gain trust and respect quickly and diffuse situations.
